I am an experienced senior manager and academic with 19 years experience in higher education across both curricular learning and teaching contexts and the co-curricular student experience. As a people leader I have supported teams of staff and student leaders to optimise student engagement, equity and success through an integrated suite of programs and services. This has spanned transition and early intervention programs, course and progression advice, accessibility, career and learning services, well-being, and student leadership and extension programs. Prior to this I worked as a manager in the corporate and retail banking industry and earlier as a school teacher. I am highly skilled in operational and strategic planning, quality review and improvement, people leadership, program and service implementation and data-informed decision making. I have a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics Education and my current research is in the areas of student success, peer learning, and student leadership.I was Editor of the Journal of Peer Learning from 2012-2017 and have chaired numerous committees and strategic working groups to progress policy and strategy across key areas of Retention and Success; Work Integrated Learning, Learning and Language Development; Student Leadership; and Student Transition, Engagement, and Wellbeing. I have also participated in, and led, both university-wide and national and international grants and projects.
