My role with this grant-funded project is two-fold: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data provided by caregivers participating in the project and marketing the project throughout the state of Florida. Representative achievements include: ✱ Collaborating with the program director and a psychologist to develop a standardized list of potential problems caregivers may experience in caring for their loved ones so that these problems can be accurately coded. We then developed strategies for each of these problems to help the caregivers resolve issues such as stress management, managing difficult behaviors, and communication with the care receiver and family. ✱ Assisting with the ACTS2 public website’s creation by developing content and improving the visual presentation of information.✱ Creating weekly social media posts on Facebook to provide caregivers with much-needed support. ✱ Manning multiple information tables each year to promote the program at community events, church services, and health fairs. -
