Audit senior on clients in a variety of industries with turnover of up to £150 million including two international groups involving complex consolidation and a UK main list plc. Seconded to personal and corporate tax. Spent 7 months in corporate finance – led 2 fund raisings (involving strategic input, financial modelling and preparation of business plans) and 2 due diligence assignments for private equity firms. Established detailed application form for Scottish Enterprise’s SME loan fund (Business Growth Fund) with guidance notes for distribution to Local Enterprise Companies.

External secondment from GT to a high growth venture capitalist based in Scotland, prior to SDF’s spin out into Scottish Equity Partners. Heavily involved in the completion of >10 investments (seed capital, development capital, MBO funding, follow on funding, loans and guarantees) across multiple sectors (high tech, oil and gas products and services, industrial and commercial products). During secondment also acted as SDF's representative in Aberdeen over period of maternity cover - managing portfolio and initiating new investment opportunities.
