My clinical background is in counselling and I worked as a therapist for some years and in many settings - primary care, secondary care and in private practice. I worked with a range of clients - from the young to those in later years of life - and with a range of issues from relationship difficulties, self esteem, anxiety, stress, depression, childhood trauma and more. I left counselling to begin a PhD at Bath University. After 18 months I decided the time had come to take a break and I spent some five years engaged in a range of activities from writing to researching topics of particular interest to me.
