Perform patient ultrasounds of abdomen, breast, OB/Gyn, small parts, peripheral vascular, carotids, neonatal heads, newborn spines, renals, bladder, and scrotal ultrasounds; transvaginal ultrasounds for ovulation monitoring prior to IUI procedures, penile duplex studies, transrectal ultrasounds of prostate and seminal vesicles, and special procedures (prostate biopsies and seminal vesicle aspirations.) Prepare patient for procedure by noting appropriate medical history, carefully screening patients and modifying protocols as necessary, noting the correct physician orders and maintaining rigid adherence to department safety standards. Provide urologist and radiologist with assistance during complex or invasive procedures, and discuss daily with them each individual patient’s ultrasound findings.
