I started my business in 2007 as a mosaic artist. My first commission piece is in the chapel at Fair Oaks Hospital, Fairfax, VA. It is 3 x 5 feet and took 6 months to create. I use recycled tiles and plates instead of mosaic tiles.I have a Mosaic on display in the narthex of Vale United Methodist Church in Oakton, VA.In 2017 I completed a commission for Poolesville Presbyterian Church. I created a cornucopia in which the congregation gave me things to incorporate into the piece. It is 20x20 in. and it was my first 3D Mosaic. In 2010 I created a fun clock from a cigar box and sold in the first time I put it out. Nine more were sold at the library exhibit. I have exhibited twice at the Arlington County Library and the Shirlington library. From that humble start I am now known as the Clock lady! I have taught classes on how to both create mosaics and cigar box clocks. My pieces have sold at Art Ala Carte in Occoquan, VA, the Artisans, McLean, VA, Orbrigado Restaurant, Louisa, VA, Vintage Vibe, Topeka, KS, and several businesses in Poolesville, MD I have had booths at Sugarloaf, Craftsman Classic, Reston Festival, Gaithersburg, MD Steampunk Show and Poolesville Day.I create commission pieces as well. My clocks describe a persons life with symbolism through "artifacts" I have collected. They are personalized, one-of-a-kind making them great gifts!Through COVID I kept busy with commissioned projects. In early 2021 I underwent treatment for breast cancer. We moved to New Orleans by the end of the year. My husband retired and we are enjoying life! I am set up to have art lessons, classes or parties…school age to old age!
