I sewed my clothing as a child, learning from my mother, a master seamstress. My hands are tools that allow creativity to flow into tangible objects resulting in beautiful jewelry made just for you.Being an artist is such a joy and thinking about what kind of jewelry you might want to wear helps me to create designs that naturally come from my heart.I am primarily a wax carver creating master models to be cast in recycled gold and set with responsibly sourced gemstones. All of my pieces are handmade in my studio near the jewelry district in New York.You can see that much of my jewelry line is inspired by the ocean, urban landscapes, and the exquisite eccentricity of nature. I'm devoted to creating jewelry that is meant to be worn a lifetime and embodies a sense of adventure, you may even see a seashell or two.As you clasp each necklace and slip on each ring, you're immersing yourself in a quiet, personal moment of self-love and appreciation for jewelry with original designs that are not computer or machine made.I support the "Mercury Free Mining" organization, am a member of the "Ethical Metalsmiths" group and the "Women's Jewelry Association”. Producer - Royal/T Cafe www.royal-t.orgWorking with owner, Sue Hancock, architect, Kulapat Yantrasast and the NY design agency, GOTO Design, managed the creative and production teams transforming a 10,000 sq.ft. business space into a cafe/art space/retail space. Participated in producing the opening party at Royal/T for the artist Murakami which celebrated the opening of the Murakami exhibit at MOCA, October 28, 2007.Responsibilites: Managing the design, construction and creative teams. Setting and meeting production goals and deadlines. Establishing and managing a multi-million dollar budget. Setting up accounting system, p.o. system, hiring outside accounting firm. Responsible for all billing including accounts receivable and payable. Establishing wholesale merchant accounts for purchasing retail products for in-house boutique. Trademark applications and liquor license applications including securing outside legal representation. Sourcing catering and developing the menu for the opening event, hiring security, sound equipment, valet and private parking contracts, ensuring that all permits and insurance documents were filed with the city, event day load-in and set-up.
