Senior Voice Coordinator
CurrentLeading the delivery and strategy of the Guild of Students’ democratic, campaigning and engagement work with management responsibility for a team of four core staff and additional student staff members.- Lead and developed staff and volunteers within the Student Voice department, ensuring effective recruitment, induction, and ongoing development.- Assisted in preparing and reporting on the budget for Student Voice activities, maintaining accurate records of activity and expenditures in compliance with financial procedures.- Supported and mentored Part-Time Officers, progressing their priorities and identifying training needs as necessary whilst empowering them in building relevant staff across the University and Guild.- Developed the strategy and delivery of the Guild's International and Postgraduate work that is focused on actively engaging with international and postgraduate student communities.- Identified opportunities for growing sustainable practices within the Guild of Students, fostering partnerships within the organisation and across the sector.- Collaborating with various Guild colleagues and relevant University stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of Guild Elections, with over 6000 students engaging every year. -Redeveloping our democratic structures ensuring that students and researchers could proactively engage in the processes and implementing a successful delivery of a new democratic system.- Implemented the Student Voice Departmental Plan in alignment with the Guild’s Strategic Plan, leveraging feedback and data to evaluate activity and drive effectiveness and improvement in supporting students and stakeholders.-Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains through research and evidence-based recommendations.
