As the Healing Touch Nurse, I round in all areas of Methodist Hospital and Women’s Hospital providing Healing Touch/Energy Therapy treatments. The treatments are a very light touch on and/or around the body. This helps the patient to relax and may help decrease pain and anxiety. This helps put the patient in their optimal state for their own healing. It was a nurse that started this therapy in the 1980s. It is backed by research.
