Reporting to the General Manager of ASB Rural, I have a wide scope of responsibility which encompasses managing credit risk and the banks lending appetite specific to the rural sector; helping to shape the strategic focus for ASB Rural; managing and liaising with key stakeholders from within ASB including marketing, properties, product, as well as external partners including Dairy Women's Network, Mt Albert Grammar School and NZ Agrifood Week - all to drive positive outcomes for ASB Rural and to build a stronger Agricultural industry for all New Zealanders.

I manage a small team that looks after all of the marketing for ASB's Commercial Business, Rural and Specialised Industries including Maori Business, Healthcare, Professionals, Franchise and Asset Finance. It's a challenging but rewarding role focused on increasing ASB's profile as a business bank through initiatives that cover all facets of the marketing mix.

ASB MAGs Farm advisory board was established to oversee the Model Farm owned by ASB adjacent to Mount Albert Grammar School and to upgrade it in line with today's farming practices. In my roles at ASB (both Marketing Manager and HO Rural Business Mgmt, I sat on the advisory board and owned the brand development, engaged Landcare to scope stream restoration work, and worked with JazzMax architects on the vision and proposal for an Experience Centre. I also enjoyed getting involved hands on with the farm planting days and milking the cows on the odd occasion.
