I have over 25 years' experience working in a range of roles focusing on business support, consultancy and project management. I joined Nottingham Trent University in 2017 to take up the role of Enterprise Advisor managing the EU funded Enabling Innovation programme for The Hive (now called NTU Enterprise). NTU Enterprise is located in the Dryden Enterprise Centre (DEC) on NTU's city campus in Nottingham. At DEC my role is to support entrepreneurs and SMEs in developing business ideas, starting a business, freelancing or growing a business. We offer a range of services to support our members and our community, including office space, tailored business advice, programmes, events, mentoring, networking opportunities and signposting to other support across the university. The DEC is a hub for enterprise and entrepreneurship, providing a focus for people to connect and collaborate. We are currently running an exclusive programme called BreakThrough for micro-businesses and SMEs looking to bring their vision to reality, aimed at those already trading with the ambition and potential to grow.
