Provide human resources consultation, advisory and support to managers in assigned business units on a range of HR strategic planning initiatives, including; • Provide clarification on the interpretation and application of HR policies and practices, Collective Agreements and various legislations to Managers • Provide direction and coach managers on employee issues, performance management, attendance issues, progressive discipline and terminations • Conduct workplace investigations on HR related complaints and make recommendations on possible solutions • Attend grievance meeting and provide support to client managers throughout the grievance process • Work with client managers to develop and retain high potential employees, succession planning, workforce planning and structural changes • Provide advice and guidance on job evaluation and promotion processes, as well as the interpretation of compensation and benefits policies and practices to managers and employees • Assist assigned business units in recruiting and interviewing management positions • Provide guidance to managers regarding disability management, WSIB and employee health related accommodations policies and procedures • Provide work direction, coaching and supervision to Recruitment Assistants and Recruiter • Facilitate training sessions to assist employees with resume writing and preparing for interviews • Develop and lead HR strategic initiatives
