As Agricultural Innovation Program Lead, I lead a team of experienced and committed scientists to deliver on the strategic imperatives of the agricultural sector to drive sustainability and improved product, yield, quality and traceability across the whole value chain.The team works across a broad range of disciples, from on-farm livestock production researcjh, natural products discovery, new food products and whole of farm and value chain sustainability.This role leverages my expertise in research leadership, partnership development, team management and student supervision to provide outcomes for industry, community and our internal and external stakeholders.

The Chair of Academic Senate guides the key academic governance committee of the University, liaising with the Vice Chancellor and University Council to ensure high quality governance and academic standards.

Dual role of Associate Professor and Associate Dean Research for the Faculty of Sciences at Charles Sturt University. The ADR role includes ECR / MCR development ans training, management of submission of contracts and IP for the Faculty, review of major and minor funding proposals, professional research development coordination for 300+ staff members across all science disciplines. Management and allocation of internal funding streams for research including strategic development of research growth areas. Governance of research matters and HDR portfolio. Member of Academic Senate.

Promotion to Associate Professor. Significant achievements include two patent families lodged and awarded for ruminant toxin mitigation and production stress. Supervision of multiple PhD / MPhil and honours students to completion. Funding in excess of $3.5M to Charles Sturt University for animal health and production research, including linkages with industry and animal health companies.

Tenured Teaching and Research role - teaching responsibilities included veterinary embryology, physiology and neurophysiology. Research focus included co-lead of the Plant and Animal toxicology group, ruminant health including intensive beef and extensive sheep production and health, and ruminant toxicology including impacts of toxic pastures on ruminant health and performance.

Toxicology Consulting provides expert advice to the agricultural and veterinary industries for animal health and production.

The Quinoline Veterans and Families Association supports #ADF veterans and their familiars where veterans have been exposed to, and suffered adverse health effects from taking Quinoline antimalarial mediations for military service.

A necessary career break for the birth of my first child.
