CurrentTrusts- Currently lead high-value (five and six-figure) fundraising from trusts and foundations through exceptional research, relationship building, bid-writing, reporting and stewardship.- Recent wins include a £50,000 capital grant from The Edward Gostling Foundation and a £50,000 revenue grant from a family trust (has asked to remain anon).- Achieved a personal application success rate of 74% in 2022/23.- Championed and oversaw transition of trust fundraising data from spreadsheets to Salesforce, including devising new prospect research fields and scoring based on capacity, affinity and propensity; this has reduced duplication, data loss and error, and improved planning, insight and reporting.Legacies - Proactively sourced and followed Institute of Legacy Management guidance to administer Read for Good’s first significant legacy gift and establish future best practice (in the absence of existing in-house legacy expertise).- Sensitively built excellent relationships with the donor’s lay executor and family, to fully acknowledge this important gift and demonstrate its impact; this brought new opportunities to develop legacy giving, promote our cause, and gain funding from a previously unknown foundation.Individual Giving - Guest speaker at the BBC Charity Appeals briefing in January 2023 (shared top tips for a successful Radio 4 Appeal).- Supported, with very limited resources, development of one-off/regular giving and community fundraising, e.g. through improved planning and processes, new supporter newsletters, and joined-up email, website and social media comms.Management - Line managed an experienced freelance trust fundraiser.- Trained, mentored and indirectly line managed a Fundraising & Communications Officer new to trusts. - Currently supporting another Fundraising Officer new to trust fundraising.- Active contributor to management forum and wider charity development, including recruitment, strategy, policies and communications.
