My role at GrainCorp as an Environmental Advisor included the follow:- The identification any statutory obligations including licences and approvals, or other consents required by the business and interpret environmental legal requirements, licences and permits and apply those to business areas- Assisting in the acquisition of licences, permits, approvals and the implementation of conditions, corrective actions and improvement opportunities. - The design and implementation of monitoring programs and assessments - Assisting GrainCorp stakeholders to design and implement environmental awareness programs pertaining to developed systems and procedures, and environmental risk areas- Communicating with key stakeholders including NSW Ports, NSW EPA and the Port Kembla Harbour Environmental Group.

In 2015 I completed honours for environmental science at the University of Wollongong. My thesis focused on carbon sequestration and carbon storage within a submerged mangrove at Lake Macquarie by the use of carbon and nitrogen isotopes and radiometric Pb210 dating techniques. One of the research objectives was to reveal the potential implications for our coastal environment and future climate change with rapid sea level rise.
