I began my tenure with Lehigh Valley Health Network (then the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance) in 1999 and currently serve as Director of Community Engagement and Colleague Recognition, although I wear many other hats, as well. My responsibilities include activities related to community engagement and outreach, media relations, employee recognition programs, internal and external corporate communications, board governance, compliance with governance and leadership regulatory requirements, sponsorships, promotional marketing and advertising, and community health needs assessment agenda. Prior to joining GHHA, I held administrative positions from 1979 to 1999 at the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, Pennsylvania, and at the Wyoming Valley Health Care System, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I am active in the community serving on various boards and committees including the United Way Allocation Committee, Greater Hazleton Civic Partnership Advisory Board, Rails to Trails Annual Hike and Bike Committee, and was one of the founders and current board member of the Greater Hazleton Health Center in Hazleton. Past Board memberships included the Greater Hazleton YWCA Board and Executive Committee and the Hazleton Senior Center Board. I am a graduate of Central Pennsylvania College and have pursued ongoing education at Luzerne County Community College and Misericordia University. I am a proud graduate of the Leadership Hazleton program and was honored in 2011 as one of the Top 25 Women In Business sponsored by the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal and in 2016 with the Athena Award from the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.
