About Jane Crayton (She, Ella)
I am a STEM educator dedicated to creating transformative learning experiences by integrating STEM and art (STEAM) through project-based, experiential learning. I currently direct the UWIN Makerspaces at the University of Wyoming, where I oversee three campus makerspaces that provide access to a wide range of machines, tools, materials, and supplies. These spaces are open to the public, fostering hands-on learning and creativity for students, faculty, and the community. My role is to ensure that these makerspaces offer the resources necessary to support innovation and provide opportunities for all to engage in experiential education and the innovation economy.In addition to my role at the University of Wyoming, I coordinate after-school maker programs that empower youth to explore emerging technologies such as 3D printing, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and e-textiles.
