Women’s life-working network, where the members define their own goals, targets and success. After being a member, I ran a workshop once a month, this included managing and focusing women who were by their own admission in desperate need of support and direction to get to the next stage in their lives. This role was dependent upon me being extremely sensitive, as on occasion they revealed deeply upsetting personal problems.

Managing Contemporary British Artists e.g. Maxwell Rushton. This involved raising finance to promote artists, for e.g. working in partnership with HSBC’s Deputy Treasure, who invested £180k over three years. Along with securing ongoing support from businesses such as Galliard Homes who were keen to improve their corporate image. Galliard were particularly useful as they owned or had access to properties all over the UK which was ideal for the events I was holding.

Jubilee Printed Circuits – I entered this printed circuit board manufacturing firm at 18 years and learnt all aspects of the business. I quickly moved to sales securing numerous large clients such as Hamilton & Palmer who were contracted for Porsche alarm systems and Tinsley who manufactured British Rails signalling systems. I increased sales form £10k to £50k p/mth over a three year period.I left to go to university as a mature student.
