I am a Registered Nurse who's passionate about the art and complexities within nursing. I have gained both acute care, dementia care, aging in geriatric health and chronic disease management. I currently work on a busy inpatient medical care unit. I have gained invaluable experience in general surgery, internal medicine, general medicine, mental health, neurology, obstetrics, and geriatrics. Prioritizing care, ensuring accuracy, and patient safety while providing compassionate care for patients. I am trained in complex wound care, tube feedings, ostomy care, pre-operative and post-operative care, pain management, and medication administration and management through all routes. I strongly believe in collaborative partnership with multiple disciplines and with the patient and family included as equal decision makers. In my spare time, I like to take hikes in our Mountainous backyard, cook, and dedicate my time and talents volunteering with non-profit organizations such as the Calgary Drop Inn Center, Mustard Seed, and the National Music Centre giving back to those in need of a little extra help.
