CurrentMums for Lungs is a grassroots community campaign group set up by a South London based group of parents concerned about air pollution. I initially joined the group as a volunteer campaigner and set up and ran their social media profiles. Over time my role has expanded to include managing the website, updating the comms strategy and developing the email newsletter strategy. Platforms: X, Facebook, Instagram, Squarespace, Mailchimp Duties include:Implementing, analysing and updating our digital strategy.Creating and curating content. This includes adapting remote content from volunteers and other team members. Overseeing the 1400+ strong School Streets Facebook group.Creating and running paid Facebook ads for short term campaigns.Creating social media graphics. Creating monthly analytical reports.Drafting and editing copy for the website and newsletter.Creating campaign resources eg template letters to councils and emails to government.I carry out specific short-term campaigns as and when required:Our Ultra-Low Emission Zone campaign in January 2019 was shortlisted for an Air Quality News award. It reached over 65000 people via Facebook, Twitter impressions were over a million.Our February > July 2019 School Streets campaign had over 1.6m impressions.Our Environment Bill Twitter Storm trended at number 9, and had over a million impressions.X, Facebook and Instagram: @MumsForLungs
