Westlakes Engineering Limited (WEL) is an award winning Small Medium Enterprise (SME) that specialises in providing design and consultancy services to the Nuclear Industry. The company was set up in 2004, and now employs 35 staff across its 3 offices across the UK, and is in the Top 10 CS&A Consultants in the UK in the Nuclear Sector (Source: NCE Consultants File 2013). We were awarded Highly Commended in the prestigious NCE/ACE Consultants of the Year Awards 2013 in the Specialist Consultant category for our work in the Nuclear Sector.Westlakes Engineering Ltd (WEL) was established in 2004 and has grown to employ 35 full time staff, with an additional network of specialist consultants and sub-consultants available on a project by project basis. Our independent consultancy is committed to the ideals of maintaining a highly qualified and experienced skills base from within the West Cumbrian economy, employing personnel with extensive experience of delivering complex multi-disciplinary contracts for national and international clients. WEL’s Head Office is at Westlakes Science Park, Whitehaven, with additional offices in Preston and Manchester. In 2009 the company acquired the former Manchester business of Robert West Consulting and in 2010 it acquired a team of environmental and geo-environmental specialists after Westlakes Scientific Consulting entered administration. More recently, in 2011, the company has diversified into the renewables sector with the creation of Westlakes Energy. WEL has grown to become Cumbria’s largest independent CS&A and Environmental Design Consultancy. Additionally, WEL is one of the top ten CS&A Consultants within the UK in the Nuclear sector [source: 2013 NCE Consultants file] and was recently “Highly Commended” in the 2013 NCE/ACE Consult of the Year Awards in the Specialist Consultant Category for our Nuclear Decommissioning skills.

• Development of a Direct Marketing Strategy for the promotion of the Managed Houses, which was undertaken as part of my undergraduate Dissertation. • Assisted in the development and maintenance of the on-site Brewery Shop and Brewery Tour Programme to increase Direct Sales and increasing of brand awareness of the Jennings Product.• Organised the company Sponsorship programme of events, which included major events such as Cartmel Race Day, Keswick Jazz Festival and the Whitehaven Festival.• Assisted with the development and maintenance of the company website to include a new online shop, Sponsorship Programme, Product and Brand Information.• Managed Company Point of Sale Material to ensure all Sales Team members were able to satisfy customer demand, this included ordering of own branded material and liaising with suppliers to ensure a consistent and relevant supply aided the Sales Team in achieving maximum customer satisfaction.
