Jane Franch is the Senior Director of Climate Impact at Pivot Bio, a sustainable agriculture company transforming the way farmers grow the food the world needs. The company’s patented nutrition technology harnesses nature to solve agriculture’s biggest challenge: delivering nitrogen to plants to feed a growing population without the negative impacts of synthetic fertilizer. Jane is responsible for leading the development of Pivot Bio’s monitoring and reporting program to accelerate the company’s climate impact and effectively communicate its journey to investors, policy makers, customers, and employees. In this role, Jane assessed Pivot Bio's Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions for the first time, developed and launched the company’s inaugural impact report, led product LCAs for Proven40 LIF + OS, and created new processes for accurately modeling the amount of synthetic fertilizer that is being replaced by Pivot Bio’s customers with the company’s non-polluting alternative and the resulting GHG avoidance in the field and in the upstream manufacturing, and developing the internal systems for delivering investor grade ESG data to stakeholders.

- Owned supply relationships from farm to warehouse, enabling Numi's purpose driven business model built on strong partnerships and shared impact. Established direct source for rooibos, improving cost & logistics efficiencies for growers and Numi. Secured novel, niche, and difficult to source ingredients by scaling up direct sourcing, enabling Numi to win at innovation. - Operations lead for the innovation team. Formulation, COGS, and manufacturing R&D for Stay Healthy herbal teas (Nexty Award winner), Japanese teas, Drinking Chocolates (Nexty Award Finalist), and Super Shots (Nexty Award Finalist). - Transitioned teabag overwrap from conventional plastic to plant-based, compostable wrapper, immediately wiping out demand for 15 tons of virgin plastic annually. - Expanded Numi's Together for H20PE campaign in India to include innovative menstrual hygiene and micro-enterprise program, in partnership with Women's Earth Alliance. - Led industry engagement & collaboration and established climate advocacy agenda.- Implemented carbon accounting across scopes 1, 2, and 3, and crafting of annual reduction targets and offsets strategy. - Developed & tracked annual impact metrics for impact reporting.
