Units can be easily and rapidly configured to accommodate office or laboratory operations, up to category 2. Managed by the University of Glasgow, the Clinical Innovation Zone seeks companies across the broad spectrum of precision medicine, imaging and diagnostics who wish to collaborate with academic and NHS researchers; including the Stratified Medicine Scotland Innovation Centre. Licence agreements are flexible and designed to support the aspirations of our partners -short or longer term. Leading the Clinical Innovation Zone, my role was to foster and encourage open innovation; working with stakeholders to ensure the easy transferral of companies attracted by the ability to access world-leading clinical academics, outstanding clinical research facilities and the state of the art infrastructure on site.

As the initial point of contact I constantly extended our network and promoted BioCity Scotland as a premier location 'central to Life Sciences in Scotland': building strategic relationships with Corporate partners to provide business support, Investors and funding sources to 'bridge the gaps' and a wide range of organisations able to provide services, training and other support mechanisms to fine tune BioCity's offering and providing the perfect environment for tenant companies to flourish.I was solely responsible for planning and implementing the BioCity Events programme, devising seminars and workshops to meet the business needs of the sector: conceiving the format, securing speakers and working with caterers and other suppliers to ensure the smooth delivery. I was the main point of contact for our external Communications specialists and liased with them to maximise our Public Relations profile and manage our Public Affairs activity.Alongside the University of Glasgow I was co-chair of the Glasgow Economic Leadership Life Science Marketing Stream, representing BioCity Scotland at the Life Science Association Special Interest Groups and the wider BioCity group at UKBIF and UKSPA.
