As a member of the Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) team at SickKids, I have two main roles:1. Support the CPA team in writing hospital, patient, and research stories and uploading content for our staff newsletter, Daily News, which is housed on SharePoint. Some of these stories are also shared externally on the SickKids website and on Twitter. As a team member, I create media reports using Cision; participate in the on-call schedule; and support special events and the CPA process during hospital codes.2. Support SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health (the former Hincks-Dellcrest Centre), with the communication needs around their recent integration, including the rebranding of signage, the website, materials used by staff, educational materials for clients and their families, and creating a style guide. I also provide a monthly newsletter for staff, CCMH Connects, using MailChimp.
