Manage and direct the public information, multi-media, public hearings, and communications Exchange strategy, policy, law, legislation, and regulation with federal, state, and local government, general public, and stakeholders. Identify, analyze, and interpret legislation; plan, develop, and coordinate direct creative and effective communication strategies and public relations endeavors to inform about Exchange projects while promoting a positive image. Represent the Exchange in communications with all management, the Governor's office, legislators, and the public.

Duties included committee meeting set-up, transcribing minutes; monitoring legislation and calendar; filing, and answering phones. The legislative environment is fast-paced and complex, which allowed me to broaden my communication skills through working with legislators, lobbyists, and the public. Additionally, working with a large staff provided an opportunity to develop teamwork strategies. The Nevada State Legislature is in session every other year for 120 calendar days.

Duties include all phases of restaurant work and customer service. Additionally as manager, I supervise employees, develop schedules, perform point of sale bookkeeping, and coordinate banquets to ensure guest satisfaction. As a manager, I have gained leadership skills, problem-solving techniques, and learned how to provide customer service while also being in a supervisory role.

Duties include providing education to the public regarding the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) program and the Watercraft Inspection Program (WIP) via the Lake Tahoe Watercraft Inspection Program Hotline; data entry; analysis and reporting; providing information and trouble-shooting with staff regarding inspections, decontaminations, fee collection, and computer issues; help develop materials for staff in the field and maintain supply of materials; provide educational outreach to the public, including organizing and attending outreach events; assist with social media and maintaining website; organize, coordinate and maintain data; and assist the administrator of the WIP. My positions at Tahoe RCD have enabled me to increase my communication skills through public outreach and strengthen my ability to work within social media environments.

Through my positions at Chili’s, I developed keen time management skills and the ability to complete many tasks at once while still providing excellent service to the public.
