With over 25 years of experience working in education throughout the continental U.S. and Latin America, I have observed, taught, coached, mentored, learned from, and loved thousands of young people.I am a multilingual language and literacy educator, child advocate and Silicon Valley entrepreneur, with a proven capacity for high-level written and verbal communication, multi-age relationship building, and unique expertise in:- creative curriculum design;- the gamification of learning;- playful pedagogy; - multi-sensory teaching modalities; and- creative world building.I have designed and implemented: - 16 different and complete units of study for early childhood;- 7 unique immersive academic year simulation game experiences for 9-13 year olds;- 8 academic year curricula for elementary students; and,- 5 summer-long conversation and grammar courses for high school students.To enrich the above learning programs and enhance language acquisition and retention, I composed more than 100 original musical memory devices and songs for targeted vocabulary absorption. Having founded and managed a thriving business in Palo Alto, CA, I have fourteen years of business administration experience.I use free time to explore woodworking, music, the written word, art and design, psychology, and fitness.
