Primary responsibilities include oversight and implementation of the JHM IRB Reliance Program, which manages reliance relationships between the JHM Human Research Protection Program/IRB and external entities engaged in human subjects research.

Responsible for the oversight, implementation and management of single IRB and reliance agreement policies and procedures governing research conducted by JHM investigators. Responsible for designing, managing and implementing the reliance process and relationships between the JHM HRPP and outside/external IRBs, including institutional and commercial IRBs. (Within the scope of the reliance relationships, JHM participates as both a relying IRB and reviewing IRB).Serves as key liaison between JHM IRB, Principal Investigators (PIs), clinical study sites, individual study teams and external organizations and IRBs regarding IRB reliance issues.
