    I had a wonderful time owning my own gym and changing lives. At FIT FOCR ('fit' - 'focker') focused on functional fitness in a small group class setting. We made people stronger, faster, and able to navigate their day in a safer manner. No one likes picking something up and hurting themselves! We also offered OCR (Obstacle Course Running) training with obstacles from major races around the globe.My role was, well, everything. I designed the workouts and taught the classes. That was the fun and easy part. The hard part was everything else. I was responsible for all of the administrative tasks, marketing, research, social media, website design and maintenance, and building maintenance. I thought I knew what it would take to build a successful business, but it was a lot more than I ever thought. It was an incredible challenge to build something from the ground up and it has made me a much better person both professionally and personally.
