CurrentResponsible for all aspects of the Finance, Evaluations, IT and Facility Rentals Department. The Washington Park Branch enjoyed a complete reconstruction and the Riverside Branch opened an event hall. As VP of Finance and in charge of Facility Rentals, I was responsible for not only the budgeting, cashflow, construction draws, and obtaining the bridge loans, but also the complete logistics of opening and marketing a new event hall in Milwaukee. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:• Compile the annual budget, working with each department to strategize how to function efficiently within each year’s funding expectations.• Prepare financial statements and metrics to report monthly to the Finance Committee and Leadership Circle, as well as regular reports to the Board of Directors, financial documents for grant proposals, and annual reports to internal and external stakeholders. • Developed budget tracking tools and liaison with staff to support the growth of their financial acumen. • Supervise the organization’s accounting functions, including payroll administration, accounts payable and receivable, banking, cash management and forecasting, and monthly review and closing of books.• Develop, implement, and lead organizational compliance with internal controls and fiscal policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information. • Manage cash flow and cash forecasting. Oversee strategy for holding and return of operating cash, reserves, investments, and endowments.• Oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure; set a standard for collaboration with departments across the organization. • Direct the Impact Evaluator to create, integrate, and maintain systems and processes to monitor the Center’s impact and financial success.• Direct the Facility Rentals and Events Manager in executing the organization’s strategy for earned revenue.
