CurrentAs the Executive Manager - Human Resource Business Support I am tasked with delivering an exceptional HR service across the network aligned to the Caribbean Airlines People Plan. This position reports to the Vice President Human Resources and has executive oversight over all operational issues – including employee benefits and services, maintenance of SLA’s, talent acquisition, negotiations of collective bargaining agreements, union and non-union grievances, internal and external investigations, and policy compliance reviews, assessments, and other regulatory audits. This role requires effective interpersonal skills including, written, oral, listening, presentation, group facilitation, influencing, and negotiation. I maintain interpersonal contact and daily communication with Executives, Managers, Legal counsel, and external stakeholders.As Executive Manager, HR Business Support I was appointed by the CEO to serve as Chairman of Caribbean Airlines Limited COVID Response Committee from March 2020 to June 2023. As Chairman I lead a 23-member team that worked internally to create policies and systems to protect employees, customers and passengers against the risk associated with travel and operations. CAL has an 80% vaccination rate and a 100% Vaccination rate among Pilots and Flight Attendants. CAL was also awarded Platinum Accreditation by the Association of Passenger Experience (APEX) for benchmark safety systems to protect staff and passengers.We worked closely with the Ministry of Health and the CMO for MOHTT to create the Guidance to all Aircraft Crew Members in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic and Trinidad and Tobago Border Reopening on July 17, 2021. As a key coordinator and contributor to the National Borders Reopening Committee we worked with a Multisectoral Committee to ensure that entry requirements and quarantine measures were well executed to mitigate against the increase in COVID-19 with the borders of Trinidad and Tobago. 1700+ Employees
