Jane Mariara is the Executive Director of PEP - Partnership for Economic Policy, a global economic think-tank that helps developing countries build and improve their capacity to undertake research and policy engagement. She has a PhD in Economics and over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and fundraising in the academic and development sectors.As the head of PEP, she has provided outstanding leadership to stabilize and grow the organization, securing renewed and new funding from donors, expanding the network of researchers and partners, and enhancing the quality and impact of the research outputs. She is also a Professor of Economics at the University of Nairobi, where she has mentored university students and young researchers to make significant contributions in their careers. Additionally, she is a member of the Central Bank of Kenya's Monetary Policy Committee, where she contributes towards linking research and policies.
