I'm passionate about making things simple. Using design to nurture communication and connectivity for a better future.I am currently studying a MSc in Design for Business which is expanding my knowledge and skills in design thinking, prototyping, business innovation, workshop design, branding and management. Growing as a reflective practitioner, observing and analysing complex problems then selecting relevant and effective toolkits, frameworks and approaches to facilitate progress. I have worked in the creative industries since 2009. I graduated with a 1st Class BDes in Jewellery & Metalwork from the University of Dundee. I have over 10 years experience as a Lecturer (Jewellery & Metal Design, Design Enterprise, General Foundation) at Higher Education Level. I worked as a Project Officer for a 3rd sector non-profit arts organisation and have run several creative businesses, most notably creating jewellery which was worn by Emeli Sande, Dame Emma Thompson and sold in high-end retailer Harvey Nichols. This experience, as well as my background as a craftsperson and maker are now being re-imagined in the form of a joyful prototyper and empathetic doodler. I am expected to graduate from my current studies in September 2024 and am looking for work in the service design, business development or leadership space in Dundee, Edinburgh or Glasgow.
