Served as DOT lead on all personnel and payroll issues, internal and external communications and open records coordination.

Duties related to management of the Administration Division, to include oversight and implementation of processes related to the human resources, budgetary and financial aspects of the Department of Transportation. Promote and enhance working relationships with DOT divisional personnel, as well as Division Directors and staff in related county departments, to maximize communications, effectiveness and efficiency. Responsibilities include oversight of the department’s $17 million General Fund operating budget, as well supervising a staff of six. Serve as the DOT representative on internal county committees related to administrative processes, such as employee relations processes, purchasing and technology upgrades. Assist in special assignments as required by the Department Director.

Served as liaison for the Department of Transportation and Gwinnett County on issues related to Transportation. Responsibility for communications needs to include interaction with the Board of Commissioners, internal departments and external agencies (on a local, regional and state level), as well as the general public. Served as DOT point of contact for all media relations. Solicited, recorded and responded to public input on Gwinnett County Transportation improvements and policies. Developed and produced collateral materials, press releases and website updates.From mid-2003 to 2005, served in a special assignment capacity to the County Chairman as liaison to the State Legislature, as well as a variety of local, regional, state and national agencies.
