In an era of globalization, the importance of empathy and understanding across diverse backgrounds cannot be overstated. My journey in early education, spanning over five years, solidified my belief in the significance of socio-emotional learning (SEL). My dissertation, combined with my work/research experience in Early Childhood underscored a gap: while we emphasize academic prowess, SEL is equally paramount. We're not just nurturing learners, but global citizens who'll interact in a vast, interconnected world. My commitment lies in equipping the young with not just literacy skills but also the curiosity to understand diverse perspectives, fostering genuine empathy. As we prioritize mental health in today's society, instilling these values early on is imperative. With a background in creating engaging courses and a passion for continuous improvement, I aim to champion SEL in every educational endeavor.
