Global professional services firm. Recruited c350 graduates annually to train as chartered accountants in the London office. I was responsible for all aspects of graduate recruitment including on campus events, screening of applications, assessment days and summer schemes. Promoted five times in six years I then moved into a generalist HR role within the Communications, Energy, Water and Transport consultancy division responsible for 250 management consultants and support staff.

Part of the Natwest Banking group, this was my first job in the City. I worked on the trading floor, supported the traders and reported updated figures to the Stock Exchange. Black Monday occurred a month into my new role and consequently, with very little work, I decided to look for a new position.
