Jane Reisman is an experienced social sector evaluator and impact measurement practitioner, and key contributor to the development of measurement, learning and best practices to the fields of philanthropy and impact investing. As the founder and leader of ORS Impact for over 25 years, Jane developed a record of engaging in new frontiers of evaluation and measurement- especially those that require innovative and practical approaches. Her clients included the United Nations; diverse foundations, e.g., the Gates Foundation, Hewlett Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Brainerd Foundation, The Russel Family Foundation, The Seattle Foundation; as well as hundreds of non-profit organizations. Her current work focuses on designing approaches to impact measurement and management for impact investors and building the evidence base. Jane works with impact investors and market builders who are innovating about how to deploy capital for the betterment of people and planet, particularly equity, justice and sustainability. In this broad and dynamic landscape, Jane is laser-focused on effective ways to measure and manage impact. She has honed a perspective and utilizes methods that draws on her experience as decades of experience as an innovative leader in the evaluation space and more recent leadership in building the field of impact measurement and management. Along these lines, Jane has served as an advisor to The Rockefeller Foundation, the GIIN, the Mission Investors Exchange, and DFID; co-led a global action initiative peer learning group for OECD, chaired the American Evaluation Association’s Social Impact Measurement Group; and consulted with the MacArthur Foundation, Fisher Family Foundation, and RSF. She is presently leading an evaluation and learning effort for CIGP (consortium of impact investors engaged in a guarantee fund); serving as an advisory board member for Impact Entrepreneur's online magazine and serving on the steering committee for the Impacting Together initiative convened by Salesforce.
