The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS) is one of the largest pension funds in the United States serving active, inactive, and retired public educators. Our team is dedicated to meeting our mission of partnering with our members to build financial security. Responsible for directing and ensuring benefits counselors provide a high level of service to members while accurately administering 3307 R.C, and STRS Ohio Administrative Code, I am charged with fostering and maintaining engaged and informed members and other stakeholders. I have assisted in developing communication themes and channels to enhance STRS Ohio's reputation with key audiences. I collaborate with various departments within the organization to provide educational programs that partner with members on financial wellness and preparing for a secure retirement. Success is measured by exceptional member survey results coupled with accuracy in information. Additionally, I am responsible for maintaining a culture of professionalism, service orientation and ethical business practices through continuing education, training, and performance management of STRS Ohio benefits counseling and support staff. I provide positive team leadership and act as a liaison between counseling services and the director, member services. With a robust career in project management and strategic planning, my role as Assistant Director is to ensure that our strategic goals are met.
