Negotiated 3 year agreements giving priority for scheduled JIT delivery and electronic invoice processing. • Consistently reduced ancillary and consumable costs by £50k pa (£550k total) by inviting existing major suppliers to provide quotation for best price, with volume-related rebates and extended payment terms; avoiding new supplier set up.• Secured £84.4k savings over 2 years (19% on £441k spend) with fixed pricing for a Sub Contracting Tender of 130 test analysis through a 2 stage process with standard non-disclosure agreements that also reduced suppliers by 1/3 (53 to 35). • Secured an additional 1.5% saving (£270k on £18m capital expenditure) by conducting ‘final attempt’ negotiations where initially it was deemed that no further negotiation on price was possible. • Reduced stationery costs by £8.6k (29% of £30k) by changing from multi-sourced, multi-sited contracts to a single supply agreement with electronic ordering and authorisation processes. A National supplier and installer of double glazing systems for industrial, commercial and residential premises via 1 Manufacturing Site, 5 Regional Units and 50 Installation Teams• Reported direct to the General Manager and responsible for a £13m purchasing budget with 250 suppliers, managing a team of 6.• Reduced annual fleet cost by £188.5k (66% on £286k spend) by moving from lease to short term hire and negotiating new terms with a previously unknown supplier without cancellation penalty charges on early termination within contract period.• Facilitated sales increase of £1.09m (2170% on £48k) over a 3 month promotion by negotiating special terms on a specific range of new products with an existing supplier. This was limited to a fixed term due to expected saturation of sales.• Saved £455k (20.68% on £2.2m spend) through rationalisation of the supply base and the negotiation of single source agreements that reduced the cost of conservatory roofs by 30%, UPVc frames by 15% and glazed units by 20%.• Facilitated £600k (2.5% pa on £24m) increased installation fit figure by introducing a purpose built collection area where the next day’s jobs were placed complete and in order for ease of removal by installers.
