About Janet Bartholow, Ph.D.

Receiving her Ph.D. in Finance from AACSB accredited Kent State University in December of 2017, Janet currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses for Limestone University, in Gaffney, SC. An experienced professor, Janet has more than a decade of successful teaching in finance in traditional settings from very small to very large class sizes, as well as, in online and hybrid formats. Skilled in Corporate Finance, International Finance, Investments, Securities Analysis and Fixed Income Analysis, she also has an holistic approach to developing her students beyond the financial knowledge into dealing with emotionally-intelligent responses and professional communication skills for students' betterment. She cares about her students' future success such that she emphasizes experiential learning through analytical projects in many of her courses. She, along with her husband Jake, children and chocolate lab moved to the Charlotte area in 2015. She enjoys family hikes, family game nights, and a friendly game of golf.
