I have a love for education, science, and technology. I began my career working as an research intern with Dow Chemical. While beginning my family, I became an Adult Education Instructor in the field of computer usage. During this time, I began leading professional development sessions for educators on new software technologies. I then became a junior and senior high school science teacher for 19 years. While working as a teacher I was always looking for ways to make the curriculum and the learning environment more relevant and engaging through the use of new and available technology. I became a leader in the use of educational technology in my district and began sharing my expertise with other teachers and educators as a presenter at various educational conferences. It was at these conferences that I decided I could affect more students by helping their teachers become proficient in 21st Century skills. I now work as an Educational Technology Coach for a county office of education and am able to assist and encourage teachers on a large scale. I love what I do!
