Part of a small team at Jelf planning, scoping and completing targeted projects assessing risk and controls in key business areas and central services, including group finance, insurance broking, employee benefits and financial planning. Role eliminated during restructuring.

Managed teams processing high volumes of client-related financial transactions in the different business sectors at Jelf and across three locations (Bristol, Guildford, Reading). Changed processes to improve regulatory compliance (client money CASS5) implement efficiencies and reduce costs. Improved liaison between back-office systems and the central finance team to help "join up" the accounting process. Developed staff knowledge and capabilities and improved the reliability and relevance of MI.

Group FC of two sister groups each turning over C£175m until the sale of the Hygrade business in 2003. Subsequently provided consultancy services to Hygrade while relocating the Head Office finance function for Oscar Mayer from Wiltshire to North Wales, continuing to work across a number of sites.Responsible for consolidated financial and management accounts, cashflow forecasting and management, VAT and corporation tax returns, managing the Head Office finance team and IT helpdesk. Projects included the introduction of a new general ledger system, assisting with standard costing, variance analysis and product profitability reporting, and ad hoc financial reviews.
