Janet Cohen is an experienced strategist for businesses, non-profits and government agencies. A jack-of-all-trades, her areas of expertise include grant writing, project development and management, fund raising, strategic planning, organizational development, marketing and message development and conference/event planning. She works for Momentum as their Chief Product Officer operates in a senior management role and works directly in collaboration with the CEO, President, and Vice President to implement the organization’s strategic plan and set/refine organization goals and objectives. She is responsible for managing the Momentum Strategist Team.In her work with Community Action Partners, her clients have ranged from the Nevada Irrigation District, the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, the Illinois Dept of Transportation and the Sierra Nevada Conservancy to the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival and BriarPatch Community Coop.Prior to starting Community Action Partners and founding Momentum, Janet worked as Executive Director of the South Yuba River Citizens League and for many small businesses in the Sierra region of California. She has appeared in countless news stories and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences.
