I maintained overall leadership of this virtual organization which provides resources for returning expatriates, offers social and cultural activities and finances philanthropic endeavors primarily in the Americas. I presided over monthly conference call meetings with my elected and appointed board. I oversaw the overhaul of our extensive web site. I devised new membership categories including 5 year membership and lifetime membership to help retain longterm membership. I also made available gift memberships. I created a monthly newsletter and utilized our social media platform. I maintained communication with our sister organizations: FAWCO and The FAWCO Foundation. I represented FAUSA at the annual FAWCO conference where I give an annual report on FAUSA and have participated and developed two workshops for attendees. I oversaw planning and development of our yearly Getaway and Annual Meetings and chaired the annual meeting. Oversaw a complete overhaul of our bylaws and our Administrative Guidelines to become compliant with our desired goal of becoming a 501c3. I worked through a two year process towards obtaining 501c3 tax status which was successfully concluded a few months after the end of my second two-year term of office as President.

Held responsibility for developing FAUSA's Philanthropy Program which had been relatively dormant for a few years.Formalized a process for selecting a qualified charity each year. This has become the FAUSA Annual Philanthropy Grant. Won a huge donor to help with our commitments to supporting an Education Award and a Development Grant through The FAWCO Foundation.Planned a charity event which included a Silent and Live Auction and a Quilt raffle at each yearly getaway.
