Manage an 82 week Medical Weight Management Program. Three clinics in the Greater Sacramento area with over 500 participants per week and 22 staff. We offer behavioral based classes with an 20 week medically monitored, full meal replacement program. Average of 50 lbs loss in first 20 weeks.

Lead Facilitator and Assistant Manager/Medical Weight Management – Hire, train and supervise facilitators to teach adult and weight management programs. Work with Region to develop new curriculum for an 82- week behavior change program, new lead facilitator training materials and new program processes to standardize the overall program. Manage new and current patients in the program through information calls, orientations, patient satisfaction surveys and retention evaluations. Manage staff of 7 facilitators as well as assisting in program management as needed. This includes assisting manager in daily operations in all 3 locations, staff management, intern hiring and orienting to the program, managing pre-program questionnaires, sending out physician letters, booking RMR’s and other management functions as needed.

Supervisor/Medical Weight Management – Hire, train and supervise facilitators to teach adult and pediatric weight management programs. Create and develop curriculum for an 82- week weight program based on behavior change and problem solving. Manage patient care using strategic planning and detailed execution, incorporating program expectations and requirements. Facilitate behavior change through motivational techniques. Enrollment and customer satisfaction increased 40% in 2013 in all phases of the program. Senior Health Educator/Corporate Health/Public Affairs - Teach nutrition, weight management, women’s/men’s health - including cooking demos/classes, fitness assessments and health coaching to Kaiser employees and in corporate wellness sites. Write curriculum and develop programs based on participant feedback and ongoing research. Equally comfortable speaking in large public relation forums as well as classes and one on one coaching.

Nutrition Consultant - Worked with individuals and groups to promote nutrition and lifestyle improvement. Provided tools to develop personal accountability. Counseled a culturally diverse population of all ages. Worked with clients to change behaviors and restore healthy balance in their lives. Conducted grocery store tours and in-home visits to further establish habit change. Developed programs and gave speeches to teams of athletes in all sports. Invited to speak in classrooms as well as nutrition counseling to families and individuals.

Founder and Sole Proprietor Developed innovative recipes designed to show that healthy eating can also be delicious. Each salad included a written explanation of its synergistic properties and specific procedures to maximize its nutritional value. Wrote and produced instructional videos on healthy cooking and eating. Developed marketing and business plan that resulted in quadrupled business in less than
 two years.

Health and Wellness Consultant – Prepared and taught exercise and nutrition programs. Researched, wrote and presented curriculum to corporate wellness programs including Intel, Aerojet, SMUD, Holt of California and Teichert Construction. Attended continuing education conferences to stay current with exercise physiology research.
