CYN Counseling Center started in 1978 as a Case Management agency for the most complex cases of child abuse in Lake County. Today, CYN is a comprehensive, mental-health facility for all ages, providing expansive programming and specialties in Lake and McHenry Counties.For more than 40 years, the core of our mission has remained to preserve and strengthen families while protecting children from abusive or high-risk situations. Now, we are pleased to serve ALL members of our community, including our most vulnerable populations with general and specialized support to meet our clients wherever they are in life. We provide a continuum of care that includes education and advocacy, crisis support, specialty and generalized intervention and treatment, case management, and evidenced-based mental wellness practice.

Responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of the Garden's Annual Giving program as well as overseeing the budgeting and tracking of the Annual Fund progress. Planned and managed the Garden's annual fundraising event with a goal of 1.1 million and all special donor stewardship events.

The Bridge Youth and Family Services provides counseling, parenting skills and education, crisis intervention and youth advocacy (mentoring) for young people in our community. Established in 1965, The Bridge is a comprehensive, community-based charitable organization serving youth through age 17 and their families in northwest suburban Cook County. Housing Forward transitions individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness from housing crisis to housing stability. Housing Forward offers a continuum of coordinated services in six areas: PADS Shelter, Outreach & Engagement, Supportive Services, Employment Readiness, Supportive Housing and Homeless Prevention.* Planned and implemented an annual strategy to achieve established fundraising goals andmonitor the effectiveness of these efforts to support and grow the agency’s funding.* Responsible for leading the major gifts program, donor relations, and provided direction andguidance for development team in the areas of special events, direct mail and communication,corporate and foundation relations and new and renewed public and private funding applicationsand reports.* Managed all Housing Forward special events related to fundraising. This included 4 signatureevents and multiple community, board, and 3rd party events throughout the year.* Provided oversight of all public and private grant proposals and renewal applications.* Worked with Director of Operations and Program Managers to understand funding needs andcreate opportunities to attract major donor, corporate, foundation and public funding.* Developed fund-raising policies including donor recognition, gift processing, and gift acceptance forboard committee approval.* Produced monthly fundraising report to the Executive Director for inclusion in the Board of Directorsreport.* Directed messaging for brand consistency to build awareness, understanding, and buy-in amongkey constituents (major donors, volunteers, corporate & community supporters, and congregations)that compel them toward action (donate, volunteer, connect) as part of our solution tohomelessness.

Identify and successfully manage opportunities with large employers (1,000+ employees and/or Fortune 1000) in the Chicago area to create giving opportunities, health initiative programs, engage executives, secure event sponsorships and steward advocacy contacts. Cultivate successful strategic relationships with corporate partners to further generate mission delivery, mission support, and volunteer recruitment opportunities for the American Cancer Society.
