SSC Is a manufacturer, wholesale, and retail coffee roaster specializing in fair-trade, certified organic and sustainable practices. They work directly with farmers around the world to improve their livelihood and coffee bean quality, and are B Corp certified. Working directly with the founders, I supported their operations through: • Improved profit margins using data analytics, introduction of revenue stream, and collaboration with sales teams• Decreased company risk of FX losses by implementing hedging and cash management procedures• Enhanced reporting and transparency by implementing new payroll and ERP systems, and restructuring benefits and insurance models

The Telus Small-Medium Business (“SMB”) unit underwent a CRM implementation across all geographical areas and departments. I was contracted to build and manage the business model that would track the budgets, benefits, financials, and ROI to allow for monies to be allocated to the project. This was a $100M+ endeavor which completed in 2015/16.

I played an integral part in the growth of the Company from 7 to 55 locations across Canada and the development and implementation of new programs and policies -think evolution from fax to web-based BI, design and project management of a loyalty/gift program, brand and creative liaison for in store and online POP, office/warehouse/manufacturing plant move, transition from corporate to franchise strategies, and franchise training to name a few.

Commercial Real Estate holdings and Management CompanyI was responsible for managing all Accounting and Finance duties in relation to leased units within a number of commercial buildings. This included accounting for all CAM and administrative expenses, month end and year end reporting, CAM reconciliations and variance reporting for each leasee, creation of renewal documents and short term rental contracts, collections, and insurance claims process.

North Eleven is a residential development company building luxury spec homes in B.C. (13 projects in 4 years). I was involved from start up to close in all aspects of Finance, including but not limited to: setting up books, managing bank funding/construction draws and appraisals, liaise with contractors/trades/banks/shareholders, create and manage budget to actual variance reports for each project as well as consolidated year over year, review all purchase and sales agreements and statement of adjustments for each purchase and sale, coordinate payments with realtors and lawyers, complete all month end and year end reporting and working papers for audit and tax purposes.
