I am an experienced Consultant, non executive Board member and Chair in climate action, the rural economy and Protected Environments. I am an optimist by nature and a sceptic from experience; I listen, ask difficult questions and encourage uncomfortable conversations to make small or big steps forwards. With a demonstrable history of partnership working at strategic policy level in Scotland and internationally I understand the challenges of collaborative working in environmental protection, climate change, and biodiversity restoration. Leading the Cairngorms Recovery Group for COVID 19 and supporting individual enterprises with strategic business development in the adventure tourism sector positions me on the frontline of helping individuals and businesses navigate their way through uncertainty. My particular skills include facilitation of open discussion and bringing about change by finding innovative achievable solutions for businesses and organisations in sustainable Protected Area management and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
