As the director of two public libraries in Massachusetts, I managed budget, personnel, publicity and programs. My organizational and writing skills were demonstrated in the policy manuals, training manuals, mission and goals statements, and long range planning documents that I have written. My successful grant applications resulted in two construction projects (estimated value, $5 million)--one to enlarge a library and one to convert a school into a library. I have significant experience as a member and leader of committees in regional and state professional associations, serving as Secretary and Editor of the Mass. Library Association newsletter. My writing and research skills were further demonstrated in the writing of the book Sequels; an Annotated Guide to Novels in Series first published in 1982 by the American Library Association (4th edition now available). My knowledge of websites, database production and marketing skills have resulted in a prospering online business (www.eSequels.com).
