As Fund Development Manager, I am managing existing corporate, foundation, and association accounts and growing the donor portfolio in support of CODE's education and literacy programs, especially for girls, in eight African countries.

As Program Manager (and later Acting VP of Program Development), I supervised and managed a team of grant writers, budget officers and administrative support personnel to prepare and submit over 50 workforce development and work supports proposals to a variety of US government funders as well as private foundations. In addition, I coordinated with the Programs Department the 100% on-time submission of quality quarterly and annual reports to Seedco's donors.

Based in New York, I managed a three year $4m HIV/AIDS grant from HHS under PEPFAR, implemented in Ethiopia and Tanzania. I coordinated all aspects of the grant on a day to day basis including M&E, budget management, technical assistance and capacity building.

Based in Kenya, I coordinated and supported disaster response activities in 8 countries as needed. At any one time handled multiple projects worth between $10,000 and $2m. Managed a complex set of relationships including nationals, expatriates, donors, grantees, government officials and church leaders.

Managed a food security rehabilitation project in an insecure work environment. Supervised five staff and implemented a US government grant of $625,000.

Reviewed project proposals from small and medium-sized international NGOs for consideration of CIDA funding.
