I am dedicated to seeing young people tap into the capacity inside them and figure out how far they can go. I also believe that the communities that struggle the most have the answers to theirs (and our) problems, if provided the resources. It is this belief that has led me to create high quality programs where kids who graduate from the programs return and are equipped to be the facilitators of the program. It is this belief that has led me to develop community organizing in communities where city services were removed. It is this belief that moves me to lead the Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation to ensure college is accessible for every young person who has that dream and desire, regardless of their income. I believe that our partnerships with the families in the communities where we serve is what make us great.
